The Therty Seventh monthly Meeting of our Association was held on 9th September, 2025 in premises of Senior Citizen Association Meeting Hall at 5.00 PM.

Minutes of the 37th Meeting of the Association Held on 9th September 2025 at 5:00 PM in Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall.
The 37th meeting of the Association was convened on 9th September 2025 at 5:00 PM in the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. As per the agenda, the following discussions, acknowledgements, and resolutions were presented and accepted by the members.
1. Welcome Address:
The General Secretary, Sri V. Narasimha Rao Garu, warmly welcomed the senior members to the 37th meeting of the Association.
2. Inviting guests onto the dais:
The General Secretary invited the members of the Executive Committee to the dais.
3. Introduction of New Members:
Two new members, Sri Y. V. Chalapathi Rao Garu and Sri Penta Reddy Garu, were formally welcomed into the Association with applause from all members.
o Both new members briefly introduced themselves.
4. Birthday Felicitations ... September:
Members who have their birthdays in September were honoured with shawls and greeted:
o Sri V. Venu Mohana Rao Garu ... 09/09/1956.
o Sri Y. V. Chalapathi Rao Garu ... 09/09/1956.
o Dr. K. Subba Rao Garu ... 15/09/1950.
Members who could not attend but were remembered and wished in absentia:
o Sri O. M. Kavi Garu ... 01/09/1963.
o Sri Komirisetty Vijay Kumar Garu – 02/09/1954.
o Sri K. Laksminarayana Garu ... 02/09/1954.

5. Chit Fund ... 3rd Series, 5th Chit:
The chit draw was conducted jointly by Sri K. Pandurangaiah Garu and Sri G. Venkateshwar Rao Garu.
o The winner of the lucky draw was Sri D. Sudhakar Garu.
6. Health Awareness Session:
Dr. C. Manik Prabhu Garu delivered a valuable talk on prostate health in senior citizens, explaining preventive measures and beneficial exercises.
7. President Address and Acknowledgements:
The President expressed his gratitude to members for their collective efforts in:
o Organising the 79th Independence Day celebrations on 15th August 2025 successfully.
o Making the Teachers Day Celebration memorable.
o Conducting the felicitation of Sri Narasimha Reddy Garu (Colony Ex-President) in a grand manner.
o Visiting and wishing Sri T. Venkulu Goud Garu for his speedy recovery.
o Visiting Sri P. Bhaskar Garu, who was recovering from hairline fracture.
o Participating in the Satyanarayana Vratam at the residence of Sri B. Maruthiram Garu after the marriage of his son Sri Sairam, and blessing the couple.
8. Acknowledgements:
o The President thanked Sri B. Srinivas Rao Garu for sponsoring a carrom board set to the Association.
o Appreciation was extended to Sri P. Bhaskar Garu for visiting Sri Vadlamani Satyanarayana Murty Garu at Yashoda Hospital before his surgery and offering encouragement on behalf of the Association.
o The President also conveyed gratitude to members who actively shared photographs in the group and assisted in uploading them on the Association website: scwahtc.co.in.
9. Appeal for Contributions:
Members who joined the Association after 1st January 2024 and have not yet made a donation were requested to kindly contribute a minimum of Rs.3,800 (or above) by end of October 2025. These contributions will help in organising further programs for the welfare of senior citizens.
10. Story Writing Competition:
The President encouraged senior members to contribute stories based on their life experiences and wisdom, to inspire younger generations.
o Word limit: 1,000 words.
o Last date of submission: 31st October 2025.
o Languages: Telugu, Hindi, or English.
o Submissions can be sent via WhatsApp or email (details shared in the group).
o Registration: Mandatory (free of cost).
o 101 prizes will be awarded, and selected stories will be published in magazines.

11. Message from the President:
The President shared a thoughtful message:
Be like a pencil and an eraser. Mistakes made with a pencil (you) can be corrected with an eraser (your friend), but a pen (an arrogant person) leaves permanent marks without allowing anybody to correct.
He further he said:
If once we hurt others, even after many apologies, the original harmony may not fully return. Just as a neat plain white paper, when folded irrgularly many times, never regains its original plain and smoothness back again. Hence, our actions should be mindful and considerative while dealing with people around.
12. Refreshments:
On the occasion of their birthdays, Sri V. Venu Mohan Rao Garu and Sri Y. V. Chalapathi Rao Garu generously sponsored refreshments and sweets for all members.
13. Vote of Thanks:
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sri V. Narasimha Rao Garu.
